If you've logged into Chipply recently, you probably noticed the Organizations page looks different. Cleaner layout, better navigation, more room for the details that actually matter.
This wasn't just a coat of paint. We rebuilt the Organizations page because it's about to become one of the most important pages in your Chipply account.
The Organizations page is where you track every school, club, business, or other group you sell to, all in one place. Instead of digging through old orders or a spreadsheet to remember who the athletic director is at a school district or who signs off on a corporate order, it's all sitting in one record.
Each organization has its own home with four tabs:
Profile holds the essentials: the organization's name, your internal reference ID, its type and demographic (think "school district" tagged with a "team sales" type and a "basketball" demographic), a primary contact, and dealer notes that show up anywhere that organization comes up. This is also where billing information lives, including PO requirements, tax details, and a full billing address.
Branches covers organizations with more than one location, division, or department. A Walmart-style organization with a dozen store locations doesn't need a dozen separate organization records; it needs one organization with a dozen branches underneath it.
Contacts shows every person tied to that organization, regardless of which branch they belong to, with quick indicators for who's active and who's the primary contact.
Rostering is coming soon, and it's exactly what it sounds like: uploading player, employee, or member lists and managing them from within the organization.
You can search, filter, and bulk-manage organizations from the main list, and organize them with Types and Demographics that you set up once and reuse everywhere.
Here's the part that matters most: Organizations aren't just a record-keeping nicety anymore. They're becoming the foundation for the upcoming releases including Rostering, and Chipply Business features like Quotes, Invoicing, and Offline Sales.
For Invoicing to work correctly, the system needs to know who the billing contact is, where the invoice should go, and whether a PO is required. All of that lives in the organization's billing information. If that section is empty or outdated, invoicing can't do its job.
Offline Sales and Quotes depend on the same foundation. When you're building a quote or logging a sale for an organization, the system needs accurate contact information, the right branch, and correct billing details to make the transaction smooth on both ends. And Rostering will lean on the organization and contact structure you've already built to know who belongs where.
Every one of these features is only as good as the organization data sitting behind it. Get that data clean and complete today, and you won’t need to add or update information when the new features arrive.
You don't need to overhaul everything in one sitting. Start with the organizations you sell to most often and make sure a few things are accurate:
It's a small investment now for a much bigger payoff later. The organizations you take the time to clean up today are the ones that will feel effortless once the rest of Chipply Business rolls out.
The new Organizations page is the foundation for Invoicing, Offline Sales, Quotes, and Rostering, which will all draw from the data you put into your organizations today. Spend a little time getting those records right now, and you'll save yourself the scramble later.
