Overview
Andrew Kohler wasn’t looking for a new web store platform when he sat down for a Chipply demonstration at an Atlantic City trade show, but after he left the booth, he immediately found his colleagues and told them they needed to go see the demo as well. His colleagues were content with their legacy platform, but eventually conceded to a walk-through. Within ten days, Corporate Images switched over to Chipply, and the rest, as they say, is history.
The Challenge
Although at the time, Corporate Images didn’t know there were challenges they needed to overcome, once they switched to Chipply, they realized just how inefficient their legacy store building platform had been. Store builds would take two to three hours, and the possibility of human error meant there was always the chance of products being ordered incorrectly. They were limited in the number of stores they could build and manage, and they limited the number of products and designs they offered because adding them to a store was so cumbersome.
“To build a legitimate store, it used to take me two to three hours. Now, I can put a store together in about 30 minutes with more offerings than I would have had before.”
-Andrew Kohler, Co-Owner, Corporate Images
The Solution
Being able to click a button and complete all of the ordering not only saved the Corporate Images team time, but it also removed a level of human error.
Store TemplatesThe Corporate Images team utilizes the templates – both Chipply’s premade ones, as well as ones of their own that they’ve created specific to their business.
Previously, the team would have to add each individual piece of art by hand, sliding every text box where they wanted it placed. Chipply’s automatic art placement meant that the Corporate Images team could increase the number of products they offered from 40-50 to 80-150.
“The auto art placement is a game changer. I just plug in the artwork, and it uploads across everything automatically.”
The Results
Thanks to the time-saving features of Chipply, Corporate Images is able to handle more stores throughout a normal season. Additionally, it’s freed up their reps to spend more time selling.
"Now it takes my reps a third of the time to build a store. Processing it at the end takes maybe 20 minutes, and then they have the rest of the day to chase new leads, follow up with customers – whatever they need to do to grow the business."
Chipply has also helped reduce human error and allowed them to provide a better service to their customers by including a wider variety of products and designs. The team has also found some ways to utilize Chipply for stores other than team stores – some organizations are now doing holiday or fundraiser stores outside of their normal seasonal sports stores.
The Future
Andrew and his team will continue to champion Chipply because they see their business needs reflected in Chipply’s continuous innovation. Chipply was built by people who understand the day-to-day realities of running online stores and have experienced the common pain points firsthand. As Andrew and his team run into new challenges, they’ve found that Chipply is often already working on a solution to stay ahead of the curve and improve every area of the platform.
"With Chipply, you can tell they’re actually listening. When you give feedback, it’s not going into a void – it’s going into a roadmap. Whether it takes a month or a year, they’re working on it."
