We’re giving you an early look at what’s coming to Chipply. At the top of the list: Dealer Inventory, a feature many of you have been asking for. Also on the way are Invoicing and Offline Sales, both part of Chipply One.
Dealer Inventory: Sell From Your Own Stock
Coming October – You’ll soon be able to sell your own on-hand stock in your online stores alongside products from your vendor feeds. Keep using features you already love, like inventory thresholds and live vendor feeds, while tracking your in-house products in one place.
With a simple toggle, you can turn Dealer Inventory on for any store. Sell from your own stock, or combine it with a vendor feed so Chipply sells through your inventory first and automatically falls back to the vendor when it runs out, no manual switching required.
Your stocked products will live under a new Assets > Products area where you can set cost, MSRP, inventory thresholds, and quantities. Update quantities individually or by spreadsheet upload to stay in sync with the system you already use. Down the road, we'll be rolling out more powerful inventory management automation to make that even easier.
You’ll also get a live view of your inventory, with available and remaining quantities shown side by side so you can see what’s in stock and what’s still available after shopper purchases.
Coming September – The Products page is getting a refresh with a cleaner layout, more control over inventory sources, and a faster way to check availability across your stores. This new framework lays the groundwork for Dealer Inventory when it becomes available in October.
Updated Organizations: Paving the Way for Invoicing and Offline Sales
Coming later this year – Part of Chipply One, Invoicing and Offline Sales will streamline how you run your business on Chipply, beyond online stores.
The new features rely on your organization data, so we've updated the Organizations page to give you more structure and control, with dedicated tabs for:
- Billing and tax information
- Custom types and demographics
- Organization Settings
You'll still find Organizations in the same spot in the top navigation, but the updated page gives you more visibility and control over the information that will power Invoicing, Offline Sales, Rostering, and Gifting.
If it's been a while since you've reviewed your organizations, now's a good time. The more accurate and up to date your data is, the smoother these new features will work when they become available.
Stay Tuned
Dealer Inventory, Invoicing, and Offline Sales are all on the way, and the updates rolling out now are laying the groundwork for what’s next.
In the meantime, take a few minutes to review your organization data and make sure it’s accurate and up to date. That way, you’ll be ready to take advantage of these new capabilities as they become available.
